A stirfry econo-meal!

ImageNothing beats a steak and eggs kind of meal in my opinion. Only problem is, steaks are so expensive these days, those kind of meals have become few and far between at my home. Enter my cubed steak econo-meal! From a relatively cheap one pound package of cubed beef for $5, I get five very appetizing stir fry meals for about a buck fifty! Here’s the breakdown:

80 grams cube beef

90 grams instant rice

40 grams bell pepper*, sliced thin

40 gram onion*, sliced thin

dash of oregano

dash of garlic salt

dash of basil

sprig of rosemary*

1 tsp oil

* (During the summer months, I grow my own peppers and onions and I also have a large Rosemary bush in the front yard, so my overall costs are relatively small).

To make this creation, I merely add some oil and herbs to a hot pan, throw in the meat cubes for a moment and stir. Move the meat to one side and then add the veggies. The whole deal takes just a few minutes from start to finish! I then plate this on a bed of rice that was made before hand. Voila! A good morning style breakfast at a nominal cost. Enjoy.
