Best guess is that what you’re seeing might be a calcium deposit due to hard water. Probably nothing to be concerned with. I’ve see the same thing in mine but have not suffered any ill effects after using it all these years. Thanks for your comment!

I have the same crock pot and I noticed a white powdery substance is on the inside of mine after I wash it- I’m somewhat concerned for my health. I found your blog after a Google search of Rival 3100. You wouldn’t happen to have the same problem with yours, would you? :O

I’m so glad I stumbled on this post. I have a couple of friends who were recently divorced and they are worried about the online dating scene (it’s been ages since they dated). If you don’t hang around bars (which are not the best places to meet people anyway), the Internet seems to be the leading place to connect. I encouraged them but they didn’t really know where to start. I’ll let them know about Clift’s guide and tell them to grab a copy and get started on a new way to life.

I wasn’t aware that we had a libertarian candidate to vote for. R U talking about Ron Paul? I am actually totally confused this year. Each candidate has good points but can they beat the brilliant politician/asshole we have been forced to put up with the last 3 years. He has a way of drawing in everyone lacking in any political knowledge, they seem to discount any attempt at reason and are hypnotized to believe everything he says like he has some control over their minds.
